Business Development Manager – South America Region

In this position as Business Development Manager you will be given an enormous amount of freedom to utilize your experience in sales of technical capital equipment out of your home office in South America or out of the manufacturing facility in the Netherlands. You will build on your experience as a sales hunter for indirect sales, setting up, managing and expanding networks of distributors throughout South America. Lastly, you will be participating in tradeshows, assisting in the successful long-term expansion of our clients’ share of palletizing solutions for the industrial agricultural market and beyond.

You will be the first point of contact for prospects and clients, while utilizing the engineering support from the European Manufacturing facility, which you will visit occasionally to build and strengthen relationships. Upon acceptance of a quote, you will have a virtual kick-off meeting with the manufacturing facility. They will make the manufacturing planning and installation planning, thus freeing you up to continue your search for new sales opportunities.

Your passion to develop sales efforts throughout South America in order to expand incremental revenue and achieve profitable volume growth has helped you establish a proven track record of securing projects by closing deals. In addition, your strategic account management skills will help you spawn new bid and contract opportunities with existing clients.

  • Engineering or Business degree.
  • Capital equipment sales experience.
  • Entrepreneurial and pragmatic.
  • Able to understand the technical aspects of automated material handling systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
